  1. As the original author of this and, considering that I did the exact same course last year, it seems to me that it is fairly poor practice to use work without the good manners of contacting the people responsible for it.

With this piece in particular, you appear to have changed the formatting and given that it is a concrete poem, and that the layout of the original was done specifically to echo the outline of the Law this is doubly disappointing.

I would think that as an artist, you would consider how it might feel to find out, completely randomly from a third party that your work had appeared in public without your knowledge/consent (and that it had been changed from your original version).

    1. Hi and thanks for the comment. Points taken and considered. As you are obviously unhappy about your work being appropriated in this manner I shall have it removed immediately. I might add tho' that the spirit of the project is one of cultural celebration and an acknowledgement of the creativity of the city. I am sorry that you don't seem to share this view. All the best to you.

    2. Hi David, I'm pleased to report that your poem has now been removed from the Law Hill site. You are correct about the formatting which has definitely changed. I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out, I think it happened somewhere between the text document and the photoshop version. Thanks once again for raising your concerns on here as they address important issues surrounding the ownership and appropriation of work in the public domain - all of which is central to the critical core of this project. I would gladly invite any further comments or thoughts on these matters from you or anyone else. All the very best.
